Committee Calls for Recommendations for 79th Session Bill Drafts

In preparation for the 2017 session of the Nevada Legislature convening February 2017, the InterimLegislative Committee on Health and Human Services has issued an open call to stakeholders to submit their legislative wishes by June 17, 2016. The committee has a limited number of Bill Draft Requests (BDR’s) it may introduce directly. Stakeholders are invited to submit their proposals for consideration. The committee will decide which proposals advance and divide them between the Senate and the Assembly. This is a good opportunity to begin building a record in support of changes in state law pertaining to public health. Also, a proposals viability may be tested through this process. Committee BDRs are non-partisan and non-threatening to legislators, and therefore, not personally vested by lawmakers. What are your Health and Human Services hopes and dreams?
